ENGELBLAU COLLGE. Engelblau College is the Foundation, and http://engelblau.com is the new domain name as of the summer of 2019, of ENGELBLAU. Engelblau is an online educational service provided by The Valanga di Vita Company The name derives from two particular references, the "blu" angel and the "city" angel, as well as the angel depicted in the famous Painting LISTENING ANGEL. All prior and extant initiatives, such as the Wildwood School, Astron University, etcetera, are here incorporated into the below programs.
WE ARE HONORED TO BE A PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY. The Valanga di Vita Company is a 501c3 nonprofit educational organization designated by the US government as a public service organization. This is an honor that we truly and deeply appreciate: the honor of being accepted as collaborators, to help the government provide services to as many people as possible. We express our gratitude to the Federal government and we pledge and strive to live up to our mission insofar as we are able to do so. Under Federal law as it now stands, this designation would also exempt employees from the repayment of certain student loans on condition that they work 32 hours a week minimum for the organization for a minimum of ten years. This would also entail keeping a time sheet which would be a written record of hours worked each week and projects contributed to. While time consuming and tedious, it would insure that each person is contributing an appropriate and just share. We emphasize that the government trusts us to cooperate with them to build a better society, and that trust implies responsibility on our part.
THE SKANDALON SKOLE: The first public offerings were programs designed to promote happiness and alleviate mental distress, and were based on theories which have proved popular and useful since they were proposed:
Thoreau's Theory, Tolkien's Theory and Frankfurt's Theory.
These have now been consolidated into the Skandalon Skole, and courses in Drugs, Music, and Vitality have been added, along with an introduction to Phenomenology, our educational philosophy.
URIEL UNIVERSITY. The University offers a plan of study from primary school on, and is based on Pinocchio's Goodness theory, Frodo's Fellowship theory, and Dante's theory of the musical nature of the universe (which is also present in Tolkien's Silmarillion.
At the University level, we are investigating the phenomenology of education and Engelblau college is the entry point for this investigation. The Listening Angel painted by Paul Klee has become a sort of a guardian angel of our enterprise.
A DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTION. Anyone can design a course, and anyone can take one, as long as you have a device with an internet connection. This is the service we provide and its economic cost to us is $3 a month for the hosting at Name cheap, and $5 a month to upload large files to Neocities. So, approximately $100 per year.
ADAPTABLE PROGRAMS. The programs are designed to be adaptable to any level, and useful for home or charter schools, study aids, or for anyone who is pursuing education or happiness in any context.
QUALITY MATERIAL. While any material is potentially considered suitable, it must be of a quality consistent with our goal of universal accreditation.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR. The courses are designed on a trimestral schedule of 16 weeks.
COLLEAGUES. Our membership policies are still being reviewed. However, If you wish to consider yourself a "colleague" of engelblau college, please see the requirements.
If you wish for a University degree, you need the equivalent of 360 credits.
PROTECTION OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY The third program we have is to provide protection for victims of violence. This is a delicate subject, needless to say; more information about this is on other pages in this site. See for examle Matilda's Menu which is being modified for more mildness. Ok, Mom?
